Chun Chen

Mr. Chen is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Insigma Technology Co., Ltd. Meanwhile, Mr. Chen is also a professor and the Dean of College of Software Technology at Zhejiang University.
Mr. Chen is a pioneer at linking academic research capability and practical industry needs and he has been a major advocator and factor of the successful collaboration between Insigma and Zhejiang University. Mr. Chen is recognized both as a leader in China’s IT industry and as a reputed scholar in academic research. As lead investigator, he headed more than 20 key research projects sponsored by National Natural Science Fund, National Ministries, and Provincial government. Among them, the Textile Intelligent CAD/CAM System has been adopted by over three hundred textile companies worldwide and has generated significant economic benefits and positive social influences.
Mr. Chen has won numerous awards both as a scholar and an industry innovator. The awards include a third prize for “National Science and Technology Advance Awards”, two second prizes for provincial “Science and Technology Awards”, “Young Scientists in China”, “Top Ten Star Scientist in Zhejiang”, “Excellent Teachers in Zhejiang” and many more.
Mr. Chen holds a PhD degree in computer science from Zhejiang University.
