On Sep. 18th 2017, Professor Gail C. Murphy, Vice President Research & Innovation of University of British Columbia, paid a visit to Hengtian. Mr. Shanping Li, the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Xiaochun Zhu, the Vice President, Mr. Jingfan Tang, the Head of Project Management Office and the other representatives from Hengtian warmly welcomed her on the visit.

Professor Gail has joined UBC since 1996 and her research combines the development of novel techniques and tools with the evaluation of techniques and tools in industrial settings.
In the meeting, Hengtian managers introduced Hengtian’s development history, current business overview and self-owned innovative products, as well as how Hengtian standardizes Project & Process Management.

Later on in the meeting, Prof. Gail listened and discussed with Hengtian team on the Hengtian DevOps, Tianji– Hengtian’s Integrated Software Factory Platform, and DeepMorpho, Hengtian’s Automatic Code Analysis and Transformation product leveraging AI technologies such as deep learning to analysis and convert the codes.

Prof. Gail highly appreciated the achievements that Hengtian had gained. During this trip, she will also meet Mr. Jianhua Yan, the Vice President of Zhejiang University, a top three university in China and visit Huawei, a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company.
Gail C. Murphy
Gail C. Murphy is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Associate Dean (Research & Graduate Studies) in the Faculty of Science at the University of British Columbia. She is also a co-founder and Chief Scientist at Tasktop Technologies Incorporated. Prof. Gail is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and an ACM Distinguished Scientist. She is on the editorial boards for CACM and IEEE TSE.
